A Day in Court

  1. I also think it's worth mentioning that:

    1) we brought up with my superior we needed to be at the human rights court at 9am. We just got laughed at and told we "didn't know the system". Personally if your client is at court at 9am, so should you be regardless of whether the judge is going to be late or not. Our organisation is supposed to be pushing for reform, and instead we encourage its flaws by participating within them!

    2) The reaction of my superior was "oh well, he's been detained for five-ish years, what's a few weeks more?"

Ashamed and humiliated. You captured this very well, thanks Henry :)
